#what’s precious about this moment: elena’s vulnerability. that she was so hurt and fading so fast that she chose to confide in damon. she doesn’t ask for explanations. simply says ‘i look like her.’ it’s not a question. it’s simply a confession. an expression of her confusion and pain and turmoil over what stefan kept from her and why he possibly would. #what’s beautiful about this moment: how carefully damon handles her. the thumb on her chin and how he holds her up. how he looks at her with a kind of tenderness i don’t even think he’s entirely aware of yet. she tells him about katherine because he is the only other person in her life who knows and who would understand. and he does understand. more than she thinks. because stefan has betrayed him over katherine too.
